Canolfan Soar is a bi-lingual welsh heritage cultural centre, that houses a café, book-shop, and theatre, attracting over forty-thousand visitors per year. The theatre houses our 130-year-old Grade II* Peter Conacher Organ, forming part of our Open Doors experience.

We invite you to our Open Doors event at Theatr Soar, Merthyr Tydfil, 13:00pm - 14:00pm on Thursday 19th September 2019. Conservation and restoration of our historic organ at Theatr Soar will provide a fascinating resource for our locality. It retains its original water engine and hand-blowing mechanism. Our vision is to use the organ as a catalyst for community development. Come along to peer behind its doors!

Canolfan Soar is situated at the rear of Castle Car Park, Merthyr Tydfil. Please use CF47 8SJ if using satnav. The nearest train station of Merthyr Tydfil is approximately five minutes walk from the venue, whilst the bus station is approxmimately two minutes away.
