Open Doors - Cyfarthfa Castle Museum and Art Gallery

Cyfarthfa Castle was once the home of the Crawshay family, Cyfarthfa Ironmasters. From 1910 the building has housed an excellent Museum and Art Gallery, with an incredibly diverse collection of artifacts and artwork.

September 21 – Open Doors 2019 Event: Remnants of War As one war ended one hundred years ago, another one was just beginning eighty years ago. WWI and WWII affected many people from Merthyr Tydfil, and this Open Doors event will bring out of storage objects related to both of those wars. Costume, letters, medals, and much more will be shown, and the local story about them all will be told.
