A number of companies are are moving in and offering to create a unique Valleys experience for you over a day and/or longer. 

Griffin Guiding provides a flexible approach to guiding  - you decide  - a day tour of the Rhondda, the home of coal, terraces, Groggs and birth place of Tom Jones or maybe the Afan Forest.

See Wales guarantees departures from Cardiff City Centre every Tuesday and Friday for the Mines and Mountains tour visiting the Big Pit and the Blaenavon World Heritage Site

The 'Green Badge', is a qualification of guiding specifically created for the The Valleys.  There are a number of Green Badge guides who are knowledgeable on The Valleys and just love to talk about the region.

All of the Guides have undergone extensive training, passing both practical and academic guiding examinations. They are people, from all walks of life, with a great interest in the past, present & future of Wales. Members must adhere to a 'code of conduct' and will negotiate their own guide fees.

Green Badge Guides know the 'hidden gems' normally found only by locals, and provide you with fun and enlightening commentaries. When visiting the Valleys, you could not be in more capable hands.
