Travel & Information in the South Wales Valleys
Thanks to excellent motorway links access to the Valleys is easy from the South East the Home Counties, the Midlands and South West. You can get here by train or coach too and international airports at Cardiff, Bristol and Birmingham are convenient for overseas visitors.
Either before you get here or once you arrive, make the most of the tourist information centres spread across the region. They are great for all the usual accommodation, event, attraction and eating out information and if you are looking for a bit of local perspective – centre staff are the best place to start and will sell maps of The Valleys.
In The Valleys, we also have our own Green Badge Guides. Specialists in the region, they have a superb knowledge of history, geography, genealogy and local gossip! They add great value to any tour.
