Sights Camera Action competition captures the Heart and Soul of Wales
Digital photographs depict 'people, places and wildlife’ on the National Cycle Network in The Valleys.
Whether on bike or foot the South Wales Valleys offers a fantastic network of traffic-free paths that provide variety, fun and adventure for you, your friends and family to enjoy.
Soak up the panoramic views of the mountains, discover the exciting diversity of wildlife, absorb the majestic green parks, whilst you burn calories and collect plenty of fresh air miles.
The competition…
This year marks the 15th year anniversary of the National Cycle Network. As part of the celebrations, Sustrans, the charity behind the network, along with The Valleys Heart and Soul campaign invited people to take part in this photography competition to capture their best moments on the Network in the South Wales Valleys on camera or film to take part.

The prizes…

Shortlisted photographs were showcased at this year’s National Eisteddfod in Ebbw Vale. Visitors to the Maes were asked to vote on their favourite and votes were also taken from Facebook and Twitter. The votes are currently being counted and the six winning photographs will be announced soon. The best entries will be used by Sustrans to promote the National Cycle Network.
