You can discover Welsh arts and culture at it’s very best at the various museums throughout The Valleys and learn about the heritage and history behind this fascinating area of South Wales. Both Big Pit Mining Museum and Rhondda Heritage Park allow you to experience for yourself a carriage ride to pit bottom and discover what pitch black really means.
Cyfarthfa Castle is also home to a Museum and Art Gallery where you will find an amazing collection of fine art, porcelain, costumes, brass instruments, and the famous Egypt Collection.
The Winding House in New Tredegar has recently opened it's doors and you can examine the winding engine up close.
