Caravan and Camping in the South Wales Valleys
Caravan holidays have never been more popular. And camping in the UK is cool again according to all those trendy travel articles.
It’s all music to our ears. Our country parks are more than pretty faces. In quite a few, part of that wide, open – and very green – space is dedicated to touring caravanners, motorhomes and campers. These – and other – sites have all the facilities that today’s travellers expect – and in one of two cases, a lot more, like visitor centres, views over lakes and links with scenic cyclepaths and waymarked walks.
They’re also ideal bases for touring all of South Wales. Nowhere is more than an hour away – and that includes Cardiff, Swansea, the Brecon Beacons National Park, and the Vales of Usk and Wye. Not that you’ll want to be rushing off anywhere soon, with all those Valleys attractions (castles and narrow-gauge railways, country parks and heritage centres) right on our doorstep.
